Finalist – 2019 Multicultural Queensland Awards

On Friday 30th August, VoRTCS attended the Multicultural Queensland Awards 2019 at the Royal International Convention Centre. We were very honoured to be one of the 4 finalists in the Community category in recognition of our contribution in helping Queensland become a more vibrant, welcoming and inclusive community. We would like to thank and appreciate our 400+ volunteers for their amazing efforts in providing a ‘hand up’ to the refugee families that we support in Brisbane. You are all champions, working towards a harmonious multicultural Queensland where ‘we all belong’ – one tutoring session at a time!

Congratulations also to the other finalists, nominees and the well-deserving award recipients for their amazing efforts in making this world a better place. We felt very humbled to be amongst you all in celebrating Australia’s rich cultural diversity! Whilst we did not ‘win’, we already feel like winners every day with such a wonderful group of volunteers that make VoRTCS the vibrant and successful program that it is – well done! 👏
